Fishing Report

Week of July 7

Summer fishing is in full swing here in Naples, Florida, and this week’s trips reminded us why this is one of our favorite times of year to be offshore. With a mix of half-day and full-day charters, our anglers enjoyed steady action and plenty of variety throughout the week.

The fish box stayed busy with grouper, mangrove snapper, red snapper, kingfish, and some beautiful yellowtail snapper making an appearance. It’s always exciting to see the yellowtail snapper arrive, and their return is another sign that our summer fishing pattern is settling in.

One of the biggest highlights of the week was a powerful 50-pound kingfish that gave our anglers an unforgettable fight before finally coming over the rail. Fish like that are a reminder that every trip offshore has the potential to produce something special.

Not every memorable catch is measured by its size, though. One of our favorite moments came when a father brought his son fishing, and the young angler landed his very first grouper. Watching families make memories together is one of the best parts of what we do, and it’s an experience that never gets old.

Red snapper season continues to provide outstanding opportunities, and the fishing has been excellent. With red snapper in full swing and yellowtail snapper now showing up consistently, summer is shaping up to be a fantastic time for offshore fishing in Southwest Florida.

If you’ve been thinking about booking a Naples offshore fishing charter, now is a great time to get on the water. Whether you’re looking to fill the cooler, chase a trophy fish, or introduce someone to their first offshore adventure, we’d love to have you aboard Lucky Strike Fishing Charters.
